Dropped catches & Poor umpiring costs Sri Lanka as Australia survives

Australia women’s team beat Sri Lanka women’s team by 5 wickets in the T20 Cricket World Cup Clash played today at Perth.

Australia chasing 123 struggled with losingarly wickets for 10 runs but survived thanks to Sri Lanka’s poor effort in the field.

Sri Lanka dropped 3 catches during Australia’s chase. Australia also got lucky with a caught behind decision which was given not out.

TV replies showed Australian Batwoman had edged the ball but Sri Lanka didn’t have a review to use.

Earlier Sri Lanka Women’s T20 captain Chamari Attapattu smashed a 38 ball 50 with 2 huge sixes as Sri Lanka ended 122-6 in their allocated 20 overs.

Sri Lanka Women’s team struggled to get going once Chamari Attapattu got out for 50 at the score of 91/3.

Chamari Attapattu also scored 41 runs in the first game against New Zealand which Sri Lanka lost by 7 wickets.

Sri Lanka who batted first in that game were restricted to 127 for seven in their allotted 20 overs with Chamari Atapattu was the best in batting for Sri Lanka scoring 41.
